No. Greatwood was developed under four Fort Bend County municipal utility districts — 106, 108, 109 and 117 — and all four were dissolved when the City of Sugar Land annexed the neighborhood. Water and sewer service is provided and billed directly by the City of Sugar Land Water Utilities Department, reachable at (281) 275-2450 for a water or sewer emergency. Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 11 remains as the levee and drainage district. The Greatwood Community Association, Inc. is separate from all of that: it handles deed restrictions, assessments, common areas, amenities and architectural approval.
