The city of Sugar Land is seeking resident feedback on four options for improving safety and traffic flow along Burney Road at Stadium Drive and Jess Pirtle Boulevard. City staff presented the choices at a Sept. 23 public meeting.

The options include roundabouts at both intersections, traffic signals at both, or a combination of one roundabout and one traffic signal at the two locations. Residents can submit feedback through an online form through Oct. 9.

The city’s engineering study, which began in January, is examining traffic flow, safety, design options and neighborhood impacts. The nearly $2.18 million project also includes sidewalk reconstruction along Burney Road from Stadium Drive to Seventh Street.

The study is expected to be completed in November. City staff will then review it and determine potential design, construction and funding needs.
